Will Knox is een geboren verhalenverteller. Met slechts een paar woorden en akkoorden weet hij hele werelden tot leven te brengen. Al jaren woont deze Brit in Haarlem, waar hij zich na zijn verhuizing uit het Verenigd Koninkrijk vestigde om zich volledig te richten op projecten in Nederland.

In september 2024 bracht Will zijn nieuwste album English Silence uit. Inmiddels richt hij zich op een bijzonder nieuw project: een volledig analoog opgenomen album, dat hij op een 8-sporen bandrecorder vastlegt. Het hele proces — van schrijven tot opnemen en uitbrengen — verloopt zonder enige digitale apparatuur. Tijdens zijn optreden op het Haarlem Vinyl Festival geeft hij een exclusieve live-première van veel van deze nieuwe muziek, die alleen in fysieke vorm verkrijgbaar zal zijn.

Will is ook een gerespecteerd en succesvol songwriter en producer. Hij won vijf Buma Awards en een ASCAP Award en werkte mee aan tracks die samen meer dan 2 miljard streams behaalden. Zijn band met Nederland begon via samenwerkingen met onder andere Duncan Laurence, Sevdaliza, Son Mieux, Sarah Julia, Néomí, Dotan, RONDÉ, Ilse DeLange en vele anderen. Hij produceerde ook Néomí’s met een Edison bekroonde album Somebody’s daughter.

Will Knox is a born storyteller. With just a few words and chords he knows how to bring worlds to life. The British native has called Haarlem home for many years, having settled in the city after moving from the UK to focus on Netherlands based projects almost a decade ago.

Having released his newest album ‘English Silence’ in September 2024, Will’s attention has focused on his latest project; a new body of work which he is completely recording on an 8-track tape machine. His plan is to write, record and release this new music without the use of any digital equipment, keeping the project fully analogue from start to finish. His performance at Haarlem’s Vinyl Festival will come as a live debut for much of this new music, with plans to have the body of work available to purchase exclusively in a physical format.

Away from his own artist project, Will is a well-respected and successful songwriter & producer, having received 5 Buma Awards + 1 ASCAP award with credits on tracks totalling over 2 billion streams. He found his way to the Netherlands through various collaborations with Dutch artists including Duncan Laurence, Sevdaliza, Son Mieux, Sarah Julia, néomí, Dotan, RONDE, Ilse DeLange, and many others. He also produced néomí’s Edison winning album ‘somebody’s daughter’.
